Arlo Camera has made it easier for users to access video recordings and manage other settings through its Arlo smartphone App. All you need to do is download the app on your android or iOS device, and you can begin by logging in to the account. Now, the process may not be as simple as it sounds, for everyone.
The steps for login on different OS interfaces may be different. And, if you are new to Arlo, chances are you will struggle with the login part. This blog will walk you through the information on how to access the Arlo Camera Login page on your iOS device.
Arlo Camera Login- Things you’ll need
Before you begin with the Arlo camera login on your iOS device, there are some things you’ll need. Make sure you have the following in place:
- Your Arlo Wireless Camera
- An Active WiFi/Internet Connection
- Arlo App downloaded/installed on your smartphone
Once you have these things with you, you can begin by downloading the Arlo App on your smartphone. Open the Apple App Store and search for the app. When you see the app listed on the screen, click on the Install button next to it. The app download will begin and once finished, will be automatically installed.
If you have the app installed on your smartphone already, make sure it is on the latest version. You can check for the latest updates using the App Store. Once updated, you can proceed with the login process easily.
Sync your Camera with the Base Station/WiFi
Once you have the Arlo app installed, connect your Arlo camera to the WiFi network at your home. If you use Arlo SmartHub or Arlo Base Station, you can connect the camera to it easily. Connecting to a wireless network directly or via the Base Station will help facilitate the login process since your iOS device and the Arlo camera are required to be on the wireless network. If you don’t know how to proceed, here’s little help:
- Connect the Arlo Base Station to the WiFi network at your home. Once done, power on the base station and allow it to boot up.
- Prepare your Arlo Camera by inserting compatible batteries into the battery slot.
- To do that, slide open the cover from the bottom and lift it up. Insert the batteries now in the prescribed order and close the lid back.
- Move the Arlo camera and the Arlo base station closer to each other and then press the sync button on it for a few seconds.
- Allow some time for the Sync Status LED on the base station to turn green.
- Once it does, press the Sync button on your Arlo Camera as well and wait for a few seconds.
- You’ll notice the LED will start to blink in blue color. When the blinking pattern of the LED on the camera turns rapid, the sync process is complete.
- The camera LED on the base station will also turn Solid Green once your Arlo camera has connected to the base station.
Accessing the Arlo login page on iOS
Remove the Arlo camera from the base station and connect it to the wifi connection. However, if you wish, you can keep the BaseStation connected as well. Once done, you can proceed with the following steps:
- Launch the Arlo App on your iOS device.
- You will now see the default login screen on your smartphone. Type in the default credentials in the fields you see on the Arlo camera login page.
- Click on the Login button and you will be directed to the main app interface.
This step concludes the login process. You are now logged in to your Arlo Camera app and can begin making the changes you want.
Facing issues logging in to the app?
In case you are unable to log in to the app interface, the first thing you should try is restarting the app.
- Close the app and restart it again. If required, go to the device settings and force stop the same, and launch it again.
- If the problem remains, check if the app update is available. Sometimes outdated app versions may also be the reason behind issues with accessing the Arlo App. To update the app, go to your smartphone’s respective app store.
- Here, search the app name and then go to the app page. If an update is available, you’ll see the “Update” option available. Click on it and the app will begin updating itself.
- Also, you can try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it. Sometimes old app files can be roadblocks to accessing the main camera page.
