Reasons for that include the ease of setup, the attractive features that it comes equipped with, and easy management enabled by the MyArlo dashboard.
Every smart home device available in the market today works together with software that enables users to manage its settings. MyArlo: An Introduction
My Arlo account will help you log in to the Arlo camera that you have installed in your home/office. Any video recordings, snapshots, and other logs will get saved here automatically if you have added your camera to this account. You can then access this data, anytime you want by simply logging in using the account credentials. Furthermore, you may choose to keep this data and erase it anytime you want based on your preference.
How to access the MyArlo Dashboard?
To access the My Arlo dashboard, you’ll need to have an Arlo account first. If you have that already, you can simply proceed with the login process by clicking on the Sign-in button on the Arlo website.
Once you click on the My Arlo Dashboard, you’ll be redirected to the default login page, automatically. When you see the ‘my.arlo.com’ login screen on your device, use the registered account details to login.
Scenario 1
- For users with an existing Arlo account, first, click on the Login button that you see on the screen.
- Then, type in your registered email address and the password in their respective fields and click on the Login button.
- Now, allow some time while the login wizard validates the credentials and signs you into the MyArlo account.
- You’ll then reach the main Arlo dashboard where you’ll see different tabs.
Scenario 2
- If you don’t have an Arlo account, first click on the Create Account link from the main my.arlo.com login screen. You’ll then see a form for you to enter the required information.
- Next, type in the required information like your name, email, and a strong password, and finally, click on the Create Account button.
- You’ll now be taken to the ‘Secure your Account’ Page. Hereon, select any of the three verification methods to protect your Arlo account. This will ensure that any time a new device attempts to sign in, Arlo authenticates the identity using a security code. Your registered email address is always available as a backup option in case you lose access to your smartphone. Therefore, we suggest you go ahead with either Push Notification or SMS verification.
- Now, once you have selected an option, click on the Secure My Account button. You will now see a new screen asking for a security code pop up.
- Check the smartphone or email inbox for the security code, and type it in on the screen. Once entered, click on the Verify button.
- The login wizard will now validate the code and accordingly sign you into the next step.
- A ‘Trust Browser’ screen will then appear on your screen, asking you to choose if Arlo can save the device information for future logins. Click on the Trust button here and you will be redirected to the next step.
- A congratulations message will now appear on your computer/device screen. This indicates that your MyArlo account setup is now complete.

Navigating through the My Arlo Dashboard
Once you are logged into the MyArlo Dashboard, your computer screen will look something like the image below:
The three tabs you see at the top are Devices, Library, and Settings.
- The Devices tab first, displays information about all the Arlo cameras, Doorbells, SmartHubs, HomeKits, and BaseStations that you have linked to the account. Once linked, they will show up in the empty area you see on the screen.
- The button that says ‘Add New Device‘ will always be visible. You can use it to add a new camera or any Arlo device to the My Arlo account anytime.
Library and Settings Tab
- Secondly, the Library tab will have all the video recordings, snapshots, and other data, saved and sorted as per the date they were recorded. You may directly click on any of the video recordings to start playing them or on any snapshots to view them.
- Finally, the last tab you see, the Settings tab, allows you to manage your MyArlo account as well as the linked devices. Moreover, you can choose to change or enable/disable settings, manage the saved user data, and ensure complete data privacy.
- The Profile button in the menu bar on the left as shown will allow you to edit your Arlo account details. Here, you can change your email address, and password, enable/disable the two-step verification, and set up an account assistant PIN easily. The Assistant PIN option will enable you to disarm your Arlo system in case of alarms going off.
- In addition, the Privacy Center option will allow you to manage the saved data like video recordings, snapshots, and more easily. Herein, you can choose to erase the cloud data and reset any linked devices as well.
Unable to access the MyArlo Dashboard
If you are having issues accessing the My Arlo Dashboard, you can go through these troubleshooting tips:
- First, check if you are using an incorrect email address as your username. Avoid making any typing errors and try again. Also, ensure that you use the correct password to log in.
- Secondly, check the browser version you are using. Outdated web browsers may not be compatible with the Arlo website and give issues. It is advised that you check for updates to your web browser version.
- Thirdly, try clearing the internet cache and saved cookie files by accessing your browser settings. You can also try restarting your web browser and checking if the session settings are correct.
- Restart your computer and attempt the web login again. Restarting your computer will help you eliminate issues with the login easily.
- Finally, if you have a system firewall or antivirus software installed, check if it is blocking the web URL http://my.arlo.com or access to the MyArlo Dashboard. If so, turn it off temporarily, and once the configuration part completes, reactivate the same.
Closing your MyArlo account
Closing the My Arlo account will permanently delete any account data including video recordings, device settings, snapshots, and other content saved in the account Library. This information cannot be retrieved once the account is closed. It is therefore recommended that you take a backup for your reference. Furthermore, before you close the Arlo account, make sure you cancel any active Arlo subscriptions or you may get charged for them. Here are some steps you can follow to close your Arlo account:
- First, launch the Arlo app on your smartphone or use a computer to access the ‘my.arlo.com’ web portal.
- Then, tap/click on the Settings option and then select Privacy to open the Arlo Privacy Center.
- Now, tap/Click on the Account option and then select Delete Arlo Account.
- Here on, you can now follow the on-screen instructions to close your account and cancel any active subscriptions.
